Aileen is a PhD student under the supervision of Dr. Gary Brennan. Prior to joining FutureNeuro, she completed her Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacology in UCD before becoming a summer intern in UCD Conway Institute. The aim of her PhD is to explore the role of the polycomb repressive complex and R-loop biology in epilepsy and to determine whether targeting epigenetic modulators like PRC2/R-loops has the potential to alter disease progression.
