Dr Hussey is an Associate Prof in the School of Nursing & Human Sciences in Dublin City University, Director of the Centre for eIntegrated Care (DCU), Director of International Classification for Nursing Practice in Ireland (ICNP) R&D Center (DCU), and also a registered nurse. Dr Hussey’s research interests include the development and use of health informatics standards in health system design and in patient centered integrated models of care delivery. Funded research in the past five years includes a HSE public services contract for concepts standards and information modelling for the national health and social care data dictionary, an Enterprise Ireland Disruptive Technology Fund with the Insight Research Center on uptake and use of digital IoT and self management support care delivery. Through Adapt Dr Hussey supervises an Elite S research fellow through the EU Marie Curie programme.
