Mohammadreza is pursuing his PhD with Walton Institute at Computing & Math department, SETU (Waterford). Fully funded by the Science Foundation Ireland (SFI) and FutureNeuro, he is working on Simulation and Modelling Platform of Molecular Communication Neuronal Network for Epilepsy. Prior to joining FutureNeuro, with the Electrical Eng. (Electronics) background, he completed his Master's degree in Biomedical Eng. (Bio-Electrics) in Amirkabir University of Technology (Tehran Polytechnic) working on a multidisciplinary approach to neuropathic pain research using Computational and Math Modelling plus Brain Stimulation. The final goal of his PhD is to provide a simulation platform to model epilepsy-related brain neurons which will be accomplished through the use of ICT. The long-term goal is to see if ICT-based technologies can be used to supplement or completely replace animal experiments.
