Edmund is a Postdoctoral researcher interested in population genetics and the impact of that genetic structure on the architecture of genetic diseases such as epilepsy. He has a PhD in population genetics from RCSI, and a MSci degree from the University of Nottingham, UK.
He is primarily interested in Irish genetics, and researchers the genetics of the general Irish population as well as Irish Travellers. Edmund is also researching the genetic variation which influences transplant graft outcome.
Prior to joining FutureNeuro, Edmund was a PhD student at RCSI studying population genetics of the Irish and the Irish Travellers.
